The files for internal use in the WAF module are created in this section. Those files are used in the WAF analysis request/response flow. Once the files are created, they can be linked with the WAF’s given Rule in the IPDS >> WAF >> Ruleset section using the file in the WAF module. The file content will be checked to confirm if the content format is correct.

Name. A descriptive name for the new file.
Type. The file type, it can be:

  • LUA script. This option allows setting your own allowed ciphers.
  • Data file. The WAF system uses additional files, like blacklists and file extension lists. Generally, it uses any information to extend the WAF rules.

File content. Enter here a given content file in the format selected previously to create that specific file. At the creation time, the system will check internally if the file’s content is related to the file type previously selected in the WAF rule.
