Network | Virtual Interface | Update

In this section, you’ll learn how to update or modify a Virtual interface.

Global Settings

These are the attributes you’ll work with regarding this section:

Name. The system name of a given virtual interface. This is not editable.
Virtual Interface tag. The identification code used by the virtual interface. This is not editable.
IP Address. The network-layer IP address assigned to the interface. The IP Address can be edited and supports both IPv4 and IPv6.
Netmask/CIDR. The subnet mask inherited by the virtual interface from its parent.
Gateway. The default gateway inherited from the parent interface to the virtual interface.
MAC. The link-layer MAC address inherited from its parent. Not editable.

To save the changes, click on the Apply button. When the configuration is updated, the virtual interface is brought up. If you’re not satisfied with the changes, revert by clicking the Revert changes button
