How to Create a Let’s Encrypt Certificate in SKUDONET ADC

To create a Let’s encrypt certificate in SKUDONET ADC:

    1. Click LSLB >> Let’s Encrypt >> Create Certificate
    2. Enter your Email address in the form that appears.
    3. On the next page, Toggle on the Wildcard button.

  1. In the Domains field, enter a wildcard for your domain. For example, *.cranelux.com
  2. Click the Apply button to configure the certificate.

This process takes a few moments to verify your domain. Once verified, your Let’s encrypt certificate will be downloaded and listed in Let’s Encrypt certificate list with the status as Valid (Green).

If the status is Orange or Pending approval, you must verify the domain manually.

    1. Within the Let’s Encrypt certificates list, Hover over the Common Name of the domain you wish to verify.
    2. On the left of the Common Name, there are 3 icons. Click on the Eye icon.
    3. Open a separate tab on your browser and login into your domain registrar account. This could be GoDaddy, Google Domains, Namecheap, etc.
    4. Create a TXT record. For the Name field, use _acme-challenge. For the Content, use the value you obtain from SKUDONET ADC after clicking the eye icon. In this example, the Content is the Resource value. Refer to the image below.

  1. Wait for a maximum of 8 minutes for DNS to propagate.
  2. Within the DNS txt query list section, Click in the text field to activate the DNS button.
  3. Click the DNS button to resolve your domain.

Within the Let’s Encrypt Certificate list, the status of the domain should change from Orange to Green.
The SSL/TLS certificate will also be listed in the section LSLB >> SSL certificates.
