Network | Floating IPs | Configure

SKUDONET load balancer can be configured to forward outbound traffic through a Floating IP address.

This IP address can be assigned to any node in the cluster. When a cluster is configured, the IP address will be assigned to the Active node with a higher priority. If the active node fails, the IP address will be reassigned to the other Active node in the cluster. This ensures that there is no disruption in service if a node fails.

To configure floating IP addresses, you must first configure the global settings. The global settings form includes two fields:

  • Interface: The name of the interface that the floating IP address will be assigned to.
  • Floating IP: The IP address that you want to use as the floating IP address.

Click the Apply button, once you have configured the global settings.

Important Notice!
One may remove Floating IP settings by clicking the Unset button.
